As REALTORS®, upholding the NAR Code of Ethics is essential for our commitment to professionalism and service. To meet the NAR’s mandatory Code of Ethics training requirement, REALTORS® have several options to complete this training by the current cycle deadline: December 31, 2027.
Training Options:
Complete Your Code of Ethics with the C2EX Program
The NAR’s Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) program also fulfills the Code of Ethics training requirement. This innovative program, available as an app or online, provides a customized learning experience focused on professionalism, ethics, and best practices. C2EX allows you to complete your ethics requirement in a flexible, personalized way while earning a valuable endorsement to showcase your commitment to excellence in real estate.

Training Cycles:
The NAR Code of Ethics training cycles are independent of license renewal cycles required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). This training is mandatory for REALTOR® membership but not required for license renewal.
Current Cycle: January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2027
Next Cycle: January 1, 2028 - December 31, 2030
Important Note on USPAP Training
Please be aware that Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) training does NOT fulfill the NAR Code of Ethics training requirement. This has been confirmed by NAR's Member Experience team and applies to all members.
